Combine your photos to create new images
Creative Composites is an overview of a different way of thinking about photography and will cover creating possibilities beyond the snapshot and how to repurpose your not-so-great photos. Highlighting some of her own work that Jenny combined to create new images to interpret an idea or emotion, she will cover creating your image and background library, design principles, using color effectively, and thinking in layers. This workshop will cover editing apps you can use on your phone as output possibilities such as paper, canvas, aluminum, and more and is for the beginner as well as the more experienced Photoshop user.
Jenny Pivor
Jenny Pivor, a photo-based artist, looks for the poetry in the visual, and the visual in her writing. She sometimes combines the two as in her recent book of poems, It’s a Little Bit Skimpy, that couples her images and poetry.
In her painting and photography, she creates various themes around relatable moments dealing with love, loss, and wonder. A past art teacher, web designer, and graphic designer, she has also owned her own clothing design and self-publishing companies.
