Presenter Information

The Newton Camera Club (NCC) invites 5-7 guest speakers and 4-6 judges or critiquers each season to present to members. If you have been invited to speak, this page includes all the information that we'll need from you, as well as providing you with some information about our meeting format. About NCC Meetings

We run both hybrid meetings and remote-only meetings. Our hybrid meetings are in-person at the United Parish of Auburndale (64 Hancock Street, Auburndale, MA). We offer a Zoom connection for those members who are not able to attend in person. For both hybrid meetings and remote-only meetings, we will email the Zoom link several days prior to the meeting.
 

What We Need from Speakers

Once you have been invited to speak and a date is selected, we appreciate it if you could send us the following information as soon as possible so that we can post the presentation on our website.

• Talk title

• Talk abstract (one to three paragraphs)

• Short speaker bio including one or more links for more information

• Postal address and phone number for sending honorarium check

• Information about the technology you will be using for the presentation if you will be presenting in-person.  We need to know if you are bringing your own computer and what kind it is or if you prefer to provide us with a presentation on a thumb drive. If on a thumb drive, let us know the presentation format.

• Square or vertical speaker photo *

• Selection of 3-5 photo options to use as cover and/or publicity photos for the presentation *

What We Need from Judges / Critiquers

Once you have been invited to judge or critique and a date is selected, we appreciate it if you could send us the following information as soon as possible so that we can post the event on our website.

• ​Short bio including one or more links for more information

• Postal address and phone number for sending honorarium check

• Square or vertical judge/critiquer photo *

• Optionally, 3-5 photos to use as cover and/or publicity photos for the competition or critique session. These photos should relate to the competition or critique topic. *

As soon as the information is on the website, you will be given a chance to review the page and request any changes or corrections.
